These two offerings of DtN will be directed by the Southeast USA Chi Alpha International (XAi) Representative, Steve Bortner, and will include training from our national director of XAi, Severin Lwali, as well as other presenters from Chi Alpha staff in the Southeast.


Training Topics

  • Reaching Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, and Atheists

  • Moving Internationals from Friendship to Leadership

  • XAi Nuts and Bolts (vision and strategies for individual and corporate witness through the school year)

  • Every Student Welcomes

  • The DNA of XAi (we are all XAi, why we welcome, etc.)

  • Cross-Cultural Christianity (differences in concepts of identity, hierarchy, risk, time, communication, achievement, world view)

  • Preparing Students for ReEntry

  • XAi programming best practices

  • English as Outreach


Attendees will also be inspired by: “This Is My Story” international student testimonials, Global Groups of staff and students discussing what they learn, Party Quirks skits illustrating how NOT to do XAi ministry, delicious ethnic meals, snacks, and drinks.

There will be plenty of free time for relationship-building, networking. Also, resources (foreign-language Bibles, tracts, and other literature) to share with international friends will be available.
