meet our staff

Our staff is a collection of trained Chi Alpha missionaries from across the United States. We pray that we can serve you well in our time at NC State. We're here for you! Whether you need information about Chi Alpha, have questions about Christianity, or just need to talk, feel free to send any of us an email or find us on campus. We're always happy to meet up!

Rev. Tyler + Rev. Paige StatonWe are so excited to be the Directors for Chi Alpha at NC State! We've been with Chi Alpha full-time for eight years - previously at Arizona State University, then at the University of Virginia and now at NC State. We both graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, TX. We have four awesome boys and love doing ministry together. I (Tyler) love drinking coffee, spending time with my family and exploring new places. Paige loves DIY projects to turn her house into a home, thrift stores, podcasts and drinking coffee while doing all of the above.tyler@ncstatexa.com paige@ncstatexa.com

Devonte’ Porter

Hey, welcome to State! I’ve been a part of the team, full-time, since fall 2018. Before I moved here from Memphis, TN, I was deeply involved with Chi Alpha at the University of Memphis (Go Tigers!) during all 5 of my years as an undergrad. After answering a call from God towards pursuing campus missions as a career and graduating in the area of Youth Services (w/ Psychology minor), I landed here in Raleigh to serve with NC State XA as an intern for a year and have stayed around ever since. I serve as our worship team leader, along with helping in other areas of the ministry.

I enjoy watching and playing sports, music, adventuring around anywhere, and pretty much anything that gets me out of the house.

Tatton Cameron, Intern

Greetings!

My name is Tatton Cameron, and I look forward to serving you as an intern this year! Just to tell you a little bit about myself, I graduated with a software engineering degree from Kennesaw State University in Georgia.  I've been a part of Chi Alpha for the last 4 years, and have loved every minute of it.  After I graduated, I decided I still wanted to be a part of it.  I can't wait to see what God does through this year and beyond!

My favorite things to do, besides serving God, is watching movies, football, and Esports.  I also love to play video games, bowling, and tabletop games.  You can also catch me reading a book sometimes.  I can't wait to meet you!

Shelby Frederick, Intern

Hello!!

I am an intern here at NC State from a small town called Arthur, Illinois. While attending EIU to study Psychology with a goal of being a Clinical Counselor, I was involved with Chi Alpha on that campus for two years. God led me to step out in faith towards full-time ministry and that is how I ended up a long way from home in Raleigh, NC.

I love to read, participate in sports especially softball and bowling, and have a heightened interest in all things South Korea. During my free time you can normally find me either at the nearest coffee shop or watching a Korean drama.

Cammie Jones, Intern

Hey everyone! It is nice to meet you and welcome to NC State Chi Alpha. Before becoming an NC State CMIT intern, I went to school at Georgia Southern University for my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. At Georgia Southern, I was a student leader and president at the Chi Alpha there and I loved meeting people and discipling them. After graduating, I decided to say "yes" to God about becoming an intern at NC State University and now here I am!

I enjoy watching action and comedy movies, going to different state parks and traveling. I also love to paint and create DIY projects/furniture. Plus, I played volleyball, basketball and ran track in highschool.
